A Society favorite has returned!
Join us for a lively, informative, and socially distanced walking tour of Northport’s historic Main Street business district. Using storytelling and historic photos from our collection, your guide will make the past come alive!

Our Member’s book club returns in our Museum Gallery on October 21 with Carnegie’s Maid by Marie Benedict, a mesmerizing story of love, power, and the woman who inspired an American dynasty. In the industrial 1860s at the dawn of the Carnegie empire, Irish immigrant Clara Kelly finds herself in desperate circumstances. Looking for a way out, she seeks employment as a lady’s maid in the home of the prominent businessman Andrew Carnegie.
This is a FREE event, but donations are welcome.
Join the Historical Society out in Northport for the beginning of our “Stamp Your Passport” event series at Pumpernickels. The meal will include a salad, a choice of 4 entrees, dessert, and coffee/tea, along with a lecture about the history of Pumpernickels. Tickets are available to members now and to non-members on October 4th.
Stamp Your Passport is a monthly events program where different countries will be represented and you get your very own passport stamped at each of them.
Supporters of the Northport Historical Society Benefit,
In view of recent worldwide events regarding the spike in the Delta Variant of Covid-19, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Annual Benefit after consulting with health care professionals.
The new date will be December 18th at 7:00 at the Northport Yacht Club.
Please be advised that your tickets, sponsorships, and advertising will remain in place, however, if you have any conflict and wish a refund, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting: director@Northporthistorical.org, or calling: 631-757-9859.
We apologize for any inconvenience but look forward to a successful and safe event during the most joyous season of the year.
